Delete Your CataLift Account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open the CataLift app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Account Management and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm, then confirm it's you: enter your password (email accounts), or confirm with Apple or Google. You'll be signed out immediately and your account is scheduled for deletion.
- Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your store account settings.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes your account and all data linked to it:
- Your login (email, Sign in with Apple or Google link) and your profile: username, bio, emoji, date of birth, sex, body weight, height, units, goals and preferences
- Workouts, sets, notes, exercise history and custom exercises
- Programs you created or saved, and your program progress
- Personal records, stats, streaks, XP, levels, badges and achievements
- Weigh-ins and your goal weight
- Leaderboard membership and entries
- Health-derived data: daily step totals and the heart rate saved with your workouts
- Form check videos you uploaded and video links you added
- Social data: friends and follows, messages, comments, likes and reactions, activity-feed posts, challenge participation and scores, reports and blocks
- Notifications, notification settings and push tokens
- Purchase and subscription records stored by CataLift (receipts/tokens, product, status, expiry),
including the records of the subscription notifications Apple sends us about your purchases
(these are pruned with the account; Apple's and Google's own purchase records are kept by them)
- Referral codes and referral history, bug reports and feature requests linked to your account
Challenges you created that other people are still in are handed to another participant so they
aren't removed for everyone; your own participation is deleted.
Timing, the 30-day restore window & retention
Your account is deactivated and you are signed out immediately when you request deletion.
For 30 days you can change your mind: email

from the address on your account and we will cancel the deletion and restore it.
After the 30 days, an automated nightly process permanently deletes the account and all of the
data above, normally within a few days. This cannot be undone. Residual copies may remain in our
hosting provider's routine backups for a limited period before being overwritten. Where the law
requires us to keep limited records, we keep only what is required.
